According to British intelligence, the Russian invaders began to use cluster bombs on the battlefield in Ukraine more and more often.

The Russian Federation is again changing its tactics at the front

The Ministry of Defense of Great Britain draws attention to the fact that during the current month, the Air Force of the occupation army of the Russian Federation began to use the 500-kilogram cluster bomb RBK-500 more often.

What is essential to understand is that, depending on the variant, such an aerial bomb is capable of releasing from 100 to 350 submunitions, which usually explode either with hundreds of high-speed fragments or with one sizeable cumulative projectile.

In addition, it is emphasized that the soldiers of the Russian Federation are using the RBK-500 against the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Vugledar axis and near Avdiivka in the Donetsk region.

According to foreign intelligence, the aggressor country could add the IMPC [Installable Module of Planning and Correction — Ed] module to the RBK-500 aerial bomb.

They also warn that it enables the carrier aircraft to release the munition many kilometres from the target.

The Ministry of Defense of Great Britain notes that Russian glide bombs usually have low accuracy.

London declares the most significant losses of Russia since the beginning of the war

According to the data from British intelligence, during the last six weeks, the losses of the Russian army were the highest during the Russian-Ukrainian war.

As mentioned earlier, these losses of Russian soldiers are the result of the offensive on Avdiivka, Donetsk region.

British intelligence cites data from the Ukrainian General Staff, according to which, in November, the average daily loss of Russian troops amounted to 931 people per day.

What is essential to understand is that before, Russian occupiers suffered the most significant losses in March 2023, with an average of 776 dead personnel per day — at the height of the fighting for Bakhmut in the Donetsk region.
