British MOD chief in Kyiv urges the world to wake up and support Ukraine

UK Ministry of Defence
Grant Shapps

British Defence Secretary Grant Shapps recorded a video from the centre of Kyiv. He called on the world to significantly strengthen support for Ukraine for its victory in the war of aggression launched against it by the Russian Federation.

Grant Shapps once again appealed to the international community for the sake of Ukraine

I am in Kyiv to raise the alarm…What would it say, if we allow a democratic country to be taken over by a dictator like Putin? What would it say about our values of freedom and democracy?

In his opinion, this should not be the case, so the international community can easily attract resources if it has the will.

So the message is simple: this is a wake up call for the world. Let’s make sure Ukraine wins this war, stressed the British Defence Secretary.

Again, Grant Shapps reminds his country that it has done more than ever by providing Ukraine with the most significant military support package.

Now every country must do the same and ensure the victory of freedom over tyranny, he concluded.

Is an escalation of the Russian-Ukrainian war possible?

The head of British diplomacy, David Cameron, recently stated that an escalation of the Russian-Ukrainian war can only be considered a situation when a NATO soldier kills a Russian soldier.

Thus, he called on the world not to be afraid of Putin's threats and to provide Ukraine with all the necessary weapons.

If you help the country defend itself from illegal and completely unjustified aggression, then nothing will prevent you from assisting Ukraine to regain its territory. As long as the West is not in a situation where a NATO soldier kills a Russian soldier, this is not an escalation.
