According to Deputy Head of the Ministry of Defense Ivan Gavrylyuk, it is still too early to discuss achieving parity in armaments, but Ukraine is actively working on its implementation.
We are working on it. In accordance with the tasks set by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief for 2024, we are taking all measures, as the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in coordination with the Ministry of Strategic Industries, to build up our defense industrial complex and multiply the production of missiles, ammunition, weapons, and military equipment, Gavrylyuk noted.
He emphasized that the key focus is currently on producing air defense systems.
The Ministry of Strategic Industries has developed a procedure for supplying this weaponry and equipment to strengthen the capabilities of our army.

Havrylyuk added that samples of Ukrainian-made weapons are also accepted for service.
He said it is connected with the MAPADS, air defense systems with a more than 100 km range.
The deputy head of the Ministry of Defense reminded about the simplification of the regulatory framework, which allows new models to be adopted in less than 20 years.
The entire budget allocated to the Defense Forces this year will be almost entirely directed to the defense industrial complex, Gavrilyuk noted.
