Charles Michel noted the progress of the AFU counteroffensive in the south of Ukraine

Pavlyuk

The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, noted the successes of the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian military in the south of Ukraine, as well as successful actions in the Black Sea and in the area of Crimea occupied by Russia.

What the head of the European Council says about the success of the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces

In particular, Michel denied the statements of many analysts and officials about the alleged failure of the critical objectives of the Ukrainian military's counteroffensive.

I don't think that this counteroffensive "failed," said the head of the European Council.

In response to questions about the possible impact of the slow pace of production and supply of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine from Western partners on the speed of the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian military, Michel cited several statements to refute these statements.

First, it is extremely important how the Ukrainian army achieved great success in the Black Sea. This is an important step in the right direction. Secondly, the recent progress achieved on the left bank of the Dnipro is very important, Michel said.

He recognized that the critical factor in the success of the Ukrainian military is the preservation of strong military support from Western partners.

This is what we want to do. For example, we have already trained more than 30,000 soldiers and will do more, the head of the European Council noted.

The head of the European Council also emphasized the need for the EU to speed up and increase the production of weapons to provide them to Ukraine.

The Pentagon denied diverting attention from Ukraine to Israel

The head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, denied the widespread false claims that Washington prioritized the conflict in Israel and reduced concentration to Ukraine.

According to the head of the press and information department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Illarion Pavlyuk, on the air of the Military Media Center, the USA itself stopped any speculations on this matter.

It is very important that yesterday our key US partner, namely the Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, actually removed any speculation that the US allegedly has to choose between Israel and Ukraine. And non-public statements also testified not only to deep support, but also to excellent understanding by the partners, why they support Ukraine and the understanding that this support is needed not only by Ukraine, it is needed by the civilized world and their countries as well, Pavlyuk noted.
