Civilians injured by missile debris during Russia's attack on Kyiv

On 29 December, Russian forces launched a missile attack on Ukraine. As a result of the falling missile debris, a warehouse in the Podil district of Kyiv was damaged and burned down. Damage was also reported in other areas.

Consequences of the missile attack on Kyiv

The Kyiv City Military Administration (KMDA) reported that a warehouse of about 3,000 m2 was on fire in the Podil district. The number of civilian casualties is being established. The search for other victims who may be under the rubble of the building continues.

A residential multi-storey building caught fire in Sviatoshynskyi district.

At another location, three parked cars caught fire. Both fires were extinguished. One victim was found.

A residential uninhabited building was damaged in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Fires in garages have been extinguished.

There were also fires in warehouses and uninhabited buildings. Preliminary, there are 6 victims.

According to the mayor Vitali Klitschko, about three people are trapped under the rubble of a warehouse damaged by rocket shrapnel. Three people have been rescued. The search and rescue operation is ongoing.

Damage to a house in the private sector of Darnytskyi district was recorded. There is no fire. Information about the victims is being clarified.

A total, 7 people were hospitalised in Kyiv as a result of the missile attack.

Missile attack on Ukraine: what is known

Russian troops conducted 10 strikes in Kharkiv region. The mayor of Kharkiv reported 12 hits to the city. There are problems with electricity supply, a hospital was damaged, and a person was killed. Another 8 people were injured.

In Odesa, the wreckage of a downed drone damaged a multi-storey building. There were no casualties.

More than 10 Shaheds attacked Lviv region at night. A fire at a critical infrastructure facility in Lviv was reported.

A missile attack in Lviv killed one person and injured three others.

The Russian army also struck Konotop in the Sumy region, the local military administration reported. A residential building and a service station were damaged, and three people were injured.

In Dnipro, a maternity hospital was damaged by rocket fire that left it with broken windows. A fire also broke out in a shopping centre.

Mayor Boris Filatov said there are dead and wounded.
