NRC: The Russians are preparing new lists for the mass abduction of Ukrainian children

Children

The occupiers in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine were instructed to prepare new lists of children who do not have guardianship. In this way, the Russians plan to carry out another wave of kidnappings.

The occupiers continue to kidnap Ukrainian children

As noted, the Russians do not return children to Ukraine, even if their relatives are in the free territory, and simplify the process of adopting these children in the territory of the Russian Federation.

The purpose of this is the assimilation of Ukrainian children, that is, the destruction of an entire generation of the nation, the Center of National Resistance (CNR) emphasizes.

The message states that the primary responsibility for these actions is the dictator of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and his subordinate, Maria Lvova-Belova, authorized to the President of the Russian Federation for children's rights.

It was on their instructions that tens of thousands of Ukrainian children were illegally kidnapped from the territory of Ukraine.

What is known about the abduction of Ukrainian children

For Children's Day in 2023, the Online.UA team presented the documentary project "Abducted Childhood", which tells the story of Ukrainian children forcibly deported and abducted to Russia.

Ukraine has identified 20,000 children who were abducted into Russia or taken to Russian-controlled territory without the consent of their families or guardians.

About 400 children have been returned to Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion in February 2022. Still, the UN human rights agency has expressed concern that no system is in place to facilitate the return.

At the same time, Russia claims to have "evacuated" 744,000 Ukrainian children. Since diplomacy with the aggressor country does not work, Russia continues to remove children from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine illegally.
