The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) collected evidence against the founder of one of the largest agricultural holdings in Ukraine, who is suspected of financing the military aggression of Russia in Ukraine.

Suspect fed Russian occupiers in left-bank Kherson region

Thus, the businessman is said to have handed over to Russian troops the warehouses of his company's production complex in the temporarily occupied Kakhovka district of Kherson region.

SSU officers detained the suspect in his son's apartment in Kyiv, where he was hiding and planning to flee Ukraine for Russia.

This was reported by the SSU press service on Facebook.

According to the investigation, the food company controlled by the suspect is located on the temporarily occupied left-bank of Kherson region and works in the interests of Russia.

In particular, this company is one of the main suppliers of food to Russian troops stationed in southern Ukraine.

To do this, in May 2022, the businessman organised the "re-registration" of the agricultural company in the occupation "Department of the Federal Tax Service of Russia in the Kherson region, the security service said.

Since then, the suspect's company has been paying more than 100,000 Russian rubles in "taxes" to the budget of the local occupation Russian administration every month.

In addition, the offender's agricultural company is one of the leading financial donors in the region of the Russian "Fund for Support of Participants of the Armed Forces of Russia", established by Putin's decree in April 2013.

It is also documented that the businessman handed over to Russian troops the warehouse of the company's production complex in the temporarily occupied Kakhovka district of Kherson region.

It has been established that the command of the Russian occupation groups uses logistics hangars to store their own weapons, ammunition and military equipment. Among them are Russian self-propelled artillery systems and multiple rocket launchers that are firing at the territory of Beryslav district.

During searches at the detainee's residence in Kyiv, the SSU seized documents, seals, computer equipment and a mobile phone confirming the facts of cooperation with the aggressor.

Based on the collected evidence, the SSU investigators served a notice of suspicion to the offender under Part 1 Art. 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (aiding the aggressor state).

The suspect is currently in custody. An investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime. The perpetrator faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property if found guilty.

SSU detained owners of company, which sold medical supplies for first-aid kits to Russian military

The Security Service of Ukraine exposed a Ukrainian company that supplied tactical medicine to the Russian troops during the war.

According to the case file, during 2022-2023, the companies sent several batches of tactical tourniquets and bandages of their own production to Russia for a total amount of more than ₴40 million (about £832,000) in equivalent.

According to the investigation, the illegal route ran through one of the European countries, where the suspects set up a controlled company that ordered goods allegedly for sale in the EU.

At the same time, the foreign entity actually received the products and sent them to Russia.

On the territory of the aggressor country, the tactical medical equipment was delivered to Russian sanctioned companies specialising in the supply of ammunition to Russian troops. Later, the products were included in individual first aid kits of Russian soldiers fighting against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
