According to the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Petr Fiala, European partners have currently collected funds for the purchase of 300,000 artillery shells for Ukraine.

We sincerely thank all the countries that joined the Czech initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine. We managed to collect enough funds to buy the first batch of 300,000 artillery shells, — emphasized Czech PM.

He noted that the real goal of this initiative is to transfer much more ammunition to Ukraine.

Our work and assistance to Ukraine does not end there. We continue to look for partners to continue to support Ukraine in its courageous fight against the Russian aggressor, Fiala emphasised.

The British company is ready to start the production of howitzers in Ukraine

The Ukrainian Strategic Industries Ministry chief, Oleksander Kamyshin, noted that the British arms company BAE Systems is ready to produce 105-mm L119 howitzers in Ukraine.

Yesterday, the minister met with the head of the British Defence Secretary Grant Shapps.

According to him, now Ukraine is waiting for a contract and financing.

He also added that the Ukrainian side has turned to the British MOD for support in this matter.

The minister expressed gratitude for the increase in the military aid package. He suggested that Britain direct these funds to finance purchases from Ukrainian drone manufacturers.

We discussed our cooperation with the British think tank in the field of defense — the Royal United Service Institute and St Andrew's University, Kamyshin noted.
