DIU announces preparations for prisoner of war exchange

AFU servicemen

According to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) speaker, Andrii Yusov, the interaction between the working groups on the exchange of prisoners continues, which allows us to count on the exchange shortly.

What is known about the preparation for the exchange of prisoners

Working groups continue to communicate and negotiators communicate. This gives reason to believe that in the near future we will still have new results, — noted Yusov.

He emphasised that the situation with the Russian Il-76 plane crash near Belgorod on the morning of January 24 harmed the negotiation and preparatory processes regarding the exchange of prisoners with the aggressor country, Russia.

Yusov added that the criminal Russian authorities have found a reason to take a definite position.

It was immediately made public, the propagandists worked according to the methods, — explains the DIU speaker.

Yusov also noted that the Ukrainian side is interested in investigating and clarifying the actual circumstances of the plane crash.

At the same time, the DIU speaker underlines that the processes regarding the preparation and exchange of captured military and civilian persons should continue.

What is known about Russia's falsification of the IL-76 plane crash circumstances

In particular, the DIU chief, Leut Gen Kyrylo Budanov, noted that the occupying country of the Russian Federation took the expected position regarding the Il-76 plane crash and blamed Ukraine for everything.

Despite this, there are still many unclear factors for such a position.

According to Kyrylo Budanov, it is pretty surprising that the Russians did not show the fields strewn with corpses and remains, as they should have shown it, to blame Ukraine as much as possible.

The DIU officers managed to find out that Russian high-ranking officials were supposed to fly on board the IL-76 plane, which crashed in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation on January 24.

DIU speaker Andriy Yusov officially confirmed that at the last moment, the FSB forbade them to board.

According to him, only five bodies were taken to the local morgue after the disaster.
