According to Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) chief Lt Gen Kyrylo Budanov, the actions of Ukrainian scouts in the Black Sea are preparations for a severe operation in Crimea.
DIU is preparing for a new operation in Crimea
On March 10, 2024, the premiere of the documentary "War for the Sea: From the Dnipro to the Crimea" took place on the air of the national telethon.
The DIU chief, Kyrylo Budanov, explained the importance of combat missions implemented by military intelligence units, particularly in the Black Sea and on the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The most critical operations at sea during the last two years were told by the soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces, who participated in the planning and implementation of combat missions connected by one strategic plan.
How the DIU officers conduct special ops
In the summer of 2023, fighters of the "Shaman" DIU special unit took advantage of Muscovites' inattention and crossed to the left bank of the Kherson region.
The DIU fighters knew the enemy was unfamiliar with the situation, so they entered the enemy's territory in the interpositional space.
In July 2023, the "Tymur" DIU special unit fighters returned the oil and gas production platform "Ukraine" to the state's control. They later participated in the Crimean operation "The Force Awakening".
A DIU special unit, "Group 13," is actively engaged in destroying the Russian Federation's Black Sea Fleet.
