On the morning of March 12, units of the Legion "Freedom of Russia" (LFR), the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC) and the "Siberian Battalion" entered Russian territory. The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) states these units carry out their political tasks as independent structures.
The DIU comments on the LSR actions in Russia
The DIU speaker, Andrii Yusov, stated that the Legion "Freedom of Russia", RVC and "Siberian Battalion" operate on the territory of the Russian Federation as "independent structures and organisations" consisting of Russian citizens and, accordingly, "are at home."

On the morning of Mar. 12, units of the Legion "Freedom of Russia", the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC) and the "Siberian Battalion" entered the territory of the Graivoron district of the Belgorod region, as well as the territory of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
The Legion said that "they will take Russian land from the regime centimetre by centimetre."
The former deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Ilya Ponomaryov, who is associated with the activities of the Legion "Freedom of Russia," said that fighters entirely control the border settlement of Lozova Rudka in the Belgorod region. There is a shooting battle in Tyotkino in the Kursk region.
