Russia lost another helicopter in the war against Ukraine
The DIU press service released the interception of the conversation of the Russian invaders with details of the destruction of the patrol ship "SergEI Kotov".
The Russian aggressor also confirmed that "Sergiy Kotov" was attacked by five unmanned boats (UBs), and a helicopter was also on board.
As Ukrainian journalists managed to find out from their DIU insiders, Ukrainian soldiers managed to destroy the ship transport combat helicopter Ka-29 (further development of the Ka-27 helicopter).

What is important to know about the Russian Ka-29 helicopter
Ka-29 (product 502, according to NATO classification: Helix-B) is a Soviet naval transport combat helicopter, a further development of the Ka-27 helicopter.
It was developed at Joint Construction Bureau named after N. I. Kamov in the early 1980s.
The main task of the Ka-29 is landing from ships of marine units and their fire support, transportation of various cargoes, etc.
On Mar. 5, 2024, one Ka-29 helicopter based on board the Russian Navy ship "Sergei Kotov" was destroyed along with the ship.
