Russian Ministry of Defense accused AFU of carrying out an attack with an anti-aircraft missile system on Belgorod, as a result of which civilians, including children, were allegedly killed. In response to this, Russians launched a missile attack on the Kharkiv Palace hotel and, according to them, destroyed the DIU representatives involved in the "terrorist attack in Belgorod". The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that during the shelling of Kharkiv, "representatives of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU), who participated in the planning and execution of the attack on Belgorod, were destroyed." It is said that in response, the armed forces of the Russian Federation "hit decision-making centres and military facilities in the city of Kharkiv."
Precision-guided missiles hit the building of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) in the Kharkiv region and the temporary deployment point of the nationalist formation "Right Sector" and eliminated the representatives of the SSU mobile force, foreign mercenaries and fighters of the "Kraken" unit, who were directly preparing sabotage on Russian territory.

At the same time, the aggressor once again hit civilian, and by no means military, objects. This is a constant practice of the Russian Federation and its terrorist missile strikes, which are directed specifically against civilian infrastructure and civilians. All other statements about the imaginary "injuries" of DIU representatives are another sick fantasy of people living in a parallel reality and waging a genocidal war against Ukraine, for which they will definitely be punished.
Missile shelling of Kharkiv: what is known
On December 30, during the massive shelling of Kharkiv, the enemy hit the building of the "Kharkiv Palace" hotel with S-300 anti-aircraft missiles.
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that 26 people, including children and a foreigner, were injured as a result of the enemy attack on the centre of Kharkiv.
As a result of the shelling, a hotel, multi-storey residential buildings, a kindergarten, administrative buildings, shops, restaurants, trade pavilions, people's cars etc., were damaged.
On December 30, explosions rang out in the Russian city of Belgorod. Debris fell in the centre of the town after the work of the Russian air defense system. The interlocutor of the Ukraiinska Pravda in the special services reported that the Defense Forces worked on Russian military facilities in the Belgorod region. Still, due to the "unprofessional actions of the Russian Air Defense Forces" and "planned provocations", the debris fell into the centre of the city.
