The marine drone "Magura V5," which was developed and created directly in Ukraine, helped the fighters of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) conduct many successful operations.

How "Magura V5" drones work

The DIU notes that "Magura V5" sea drones revolutionised combat operations against Russia at sea.

The reconnaissance ship "Ivan Khurs", the amphibious ships "Akula" and "Serna", the missile corvette "Ivanovets", the large landing ship "Caesar Kunikov" and the patrol ship of the Russian Navy "Sergei Kotov" sank thanks to the Ukrainian naval drones "Magura V5", DIU statement says.

The DIU "Group 13" special unit commander, who goes by the call sign "The Thirteenth," says that this drone does not emit much heat, which is why it is almost invisible to thermal imaging cameras.

It is made of plastic, so it is difficult even for radars to see it, notes the commander.

According to the DIU "Group 13" special unit commander, the hunt for the invading warship could last for days.

What is important to understand is that all this time, operators must remain focused on enemy targets.

The soldier with the call sign "The Thirteenth" frankly admits that the most challenging target was "Sergei Kotov"

Group 13 attacked and damaged it twice, but managed to sink it only on the third attempt, says the military spy.

As mentioned earlier, due to the strike by Magura V5 naval drones, the Russian ship suffered damage to the stern, right and left sides.

The cost of the sunken ship is about $65 million.
