DIU warns of a new Russia's info attack amid the Il-76 crash

Il-76 crash

The authorities of the Russian Federation refuse to officially publish the lists of prisoners who were supposed to be exchanged on January 24, and throw out fake data with the help of propagandists.

The Il-76 crash. DIU speaker Yusov notes Russia's new info attack

A Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) representative, Andriy Yusov, notes that the aggressor country once again resorts to informational provocations and actively involves propaganda in this process.

First, the lists (of prisoners who were to be exchanged on January 24 — ed.) were known. What lists are another matter. In Ukraine, official information is provided by the coordination headquarters for the treatment of prisoners of war and official officials, in particular the human affairs commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada. From the side of the aggressor state: propagandists, Simonyan, Shariy and so on, highlight one or another list, — explains Andriy Yusov.

The DIU representative emphasises that this is not done by the Russian MOD, not by the humanitarian headquarters, which is responsible for the treatment of prisoners of war, but by scandalous propagandists who are in no way involved in the exchange of prisoners.

The fact is that commenting on the information that Russian propaganda deliberately throws in means participating in the implementation of their operation. Of course, when such lists are officially notified, then there will be official comments, Andrii Yusov promised.

Who acts to fly in Il-76?

The Ukrainian intelligence officers found out that Russian top officials were supposed to fly on board the Il-76 plane, which crashed in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation on January 24.

Andriy Yusov officially confirmed that at the last moment the FSB forbade them to board.

According to him, only five bodies were taken to the local morgue after the disaster.

A few official VIPs from the military-political representation of the aggressor state were indeed supposed to be on board. Their names are known and will be named, the materials will be provided as part of the international investigation, — added the DIU representative.
