Russia is actually preparing for a military confrontation with the West within the next decade. This information was shared by the Foreign Intelligence Service of Estonia.

Russia's war with the West. When it can start

The head of the Estonian intelligence service, Kaupo Rosin, made a statement in this regard.

According to him, this forecast is based on the plans of the aggressor country to double the number of troops stationed along the border with Finland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia.

Russia has chosen the path of long-term confrontation... and the Kremlin is likely anticipating a possible conflict with NATO within the next decade or so.

According to him, a military attack by Russia is "unlikely" in the next few years.

It is essential to understand that the main reason remains that the Kremlin is forced to keep troops in Ukraine, so it does not yet have enough opportunities to transfer soldiers to the borders of NATO countries.

How the Estonian intelligence service comments on the course of the Russo-Ukrainian war

Kaupo Rosin points out that he doubts the Russian army will be able to make a significant breakthrough on the Ukrainian front before the presidential elections.

He emphasises that in order to realize this goal, the enemy will need a much larger number of personnel.

Russia's ability to supply its troops with ammunition continues to outweigh Ukraine's capabilities, and if Western support is not maintained or increased, Ukraine is unlikely to be able to change the situation on the battlefield, the head of the Estonian intelligence service emphasised.

What is essential to understand is that, in recent weeks, many European NATO countries have also warned of the risk of war with the Russian Federation.
