EU allocates €75 million to Ukraine for humanitarian aid

The European Commission allocated the first €75 million of humanitarian aid to support people in Ukraine who had already suffered from the war.

The EU will allocate funds for humanitarian projects in Ukraine

As it notes, €75 million of the package is earmarked for humanitarian projects to provide a roof over the head, drinking water, and support for educational and healthcare institutions.

Another €8 million is allocated for humanitarian projects on the territory of Moldova.

Together with the latest package, the total amount of funding allocated by the European Commission for humanitarian programs since the beginning of the full-scale war reaches €926 million, of which €860 million are for projects in Ukraine and €66 million are for supporting Ukrainian refugees in Moldova.

The European Commission reminds that significant amounts of aid were also provided through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism with the participation of many member states, more than 140,000 tons of such aid were imported in material form.

These are "quicks", fire trucks, medicines, things for arranging temporary housing, generators, etc. The European Union's warehouses were involved in providing such assistance.

Aid to Ukraine from the USA. Congress prepares "Plans B"

It remains to be seen whether enough Republicans in the House of Representatives will agree to support the bill after it passes the Senate.

However, it is essential to understand that some are publicly pressuring House Speaker Mike Johnson to approve the document.

Recently, journalists also learned that Congress is discussing at least two "plan Bs" to approve aid to Ukraine to bypass Johnson's opposition.
