Ukraine will receive financial assistance from the European Union for €4.5 billion in March and another €1.5 billion in April. The money is provided as part of the Ukraine Facility program.
The EU allocated new financial tranches to Ukraine
Funds from the European Union will soon arrive in Ukraine.
Vice-President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis announced this at a press conference with Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
He said that the Ukraine Facility mechanism is being finalised in the European Union, within which Ukraine was promised to provide €50 billion by 2027.
€50 billion for Ukraine: what is known
In February, during a special summit, the leaders of the European Union countries approved the initiative to provide Ukraine with 50 billion euros in financial assistance until 2027.
The money will be provided as part of the Ukraine Facility. The program also provides that Ukraine must fulfil the conditions for the transfer of funds.
Recently, the Council of the European Union finally approved the Ukraine Facility initiative.
It is planned to transfer €16 billion to Ukraine only in 2024.
