What is the situation in Berdyansk

The town of Berdyansk, Zaporizhzhia region, is located on the shores of the Azov Sea. The city was occupied by Russian troops in February 2022.

After that, the occupiers decided to turn the city into a military base for their needs. As a result of the work of our military or militants, explosions are regularly heard in Berdyansk.

For example, in October, as a result of our soldiers' strikes on the occupiers' airfields in Luhansk and Berdyansk, nine Russian helicopters, an air defence system and an ammunition depot were destroyed.

Another 15 helicopters, eight Ka-52s and seven Mi-8s, were damaged.

Later, it became known that the Russian military had concentrated its aviation at the Taganrog base after the AFU had attacked their base in Berdyansk with anti-aircraft missile systems.
