From now on, representatives of foreign, consular institutions or representative offices of international organizations will not be allowed to enter dangerous settlements in the Kherson region without the approval of the regional military administration and military command.
Foreign volunteers were banned from entering some communities of the Kherson region
The decision on the ban was made during a meeting of the Defense Council of the Kherson region.
The ban applies to the following settlements: Kizomys, Veletenske, Berehove, Yantarne, Dniprovske, Bilozerka, Pryozerne, Komyshany, Zymyvnyk, Antonivka, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Mykilske, Poniativka, Tokarivka, Novotyagynka, Ivanivka, Tyagynka, Lvove, Olhivka, Burgunka, Mykolaivka, Odradokamyanka, Kozatske, Vesele, Beryslav, Novoberyslav, Zmiivka, Chervonyi Maiak, Novokairy, Respublikanets, Mylové, Kachkarivka, Sablukivka, Dudchany, Havrylivka, Mykhailivka, Zolota Balka and Osokorivka.
What preceded the ban
On February 1, Russian troops attacked Berislav, Kherson region, dropping ammunition on two cars carrying representatives of the humanitarian centre HEKS EPER.
Two French citizens died. Three more French citizens and a Ukrainian were injured.
France is going to summon the Russian ambassador to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to express its condemnation of the Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities, in particular, the drone attacks on Beryslav.
The Russian diplomat will also be told about the Kremlin's constant spread of disinformation, which, as noted in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will only intensify before Emmanuel Macron's planned visit to Kyiv in February.
