According to journalists, the so-called "hero of the SMO (special military operation - ed.)" brutally murdered the father of the chief propagandist of the Russian Orthodox Church.

It is known that the killer was Adam Shcherbakov, who had served a 9-year sentence for robbery but was released to participate in the war against Ukraine as part of the Wagner Group.

It is noted that the body of Legoyda's murdered father, who was 90 years old, was found on the side of the road.

What is known about crimes of former mercenaries of PMC Wagner after their return to Russia

Former mercenaries of the Wagner Group, who took part in the war against Ukraine, are committing new savage crimes after returning to Russia.

According to journalists of the Explain project, citing representatives of law enforcement agencies in the Ivanovo region, former mercenaries continue to commit atrocities after returning to Russia from war-torn Ukraine.

In particular, it is noted that after returning from the war against Ukraine, at least 13 former mercenaries of the PMC Wagner were detained for committing theft.

Journalists warn that this is only official information, and the real situation probably looks much worse.

In particular, the authors of the material also refer to the materials of a closed meeting of the Ivanovo regional police department, published by one of the Russian publications.

During the meeting, the head of local law enforcement agencies stated that out of 300 former prisoners who participated in the war against Ukraine, 120 were detained for committing new crimes after returning to Russia.

They were mostly former Wagner mercenaries who had been recruited in prison and who, upon returning home, took up their old ways again.

Two days later, the Ministry of Internal Affairs hastened to deny the "leak from the meeting" about hundreds of criminals and said that only 13 cases had been discussed.
