On February 10, the Ukrainian leader held telephone talks with French President Emmanuel Macron.

The heads of state discussed in detail the current situation at the front and the defense needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

First of all, it was about drones, artillery systems and shells, EW and air defense systems, from portable to long-range.

Thank you for the initiation by France and the United States of the Artillery Coalition, within the framework of which Paris will produce and transfer to Ukraine dozens of "Caesar" artillery systems, as well as shells for them.

According to the Ukrainian leader, he also discussed with his French colleague the preparation of a bilateral document on security guarantees within the G7 Vilnius Declaration.

Volodymyr Zelenskyi draws attention to the fact that the active preparation of bilateral security agreements by leading European countries demonstrates European leadership, motivates Ukrainian society and soldiers, and sends powerful signals to Russia regarding Europe's unwavering support for Ukraine.

In addition, the President of Ukraine expressed his sincere condolences to the relatives and friends of the French humanitarian workers who died as a result of the Russian attack on the Kherson region, AND wished the wounded a speedy recovery.

France intends to transfer hypersonic fighters to Ukraine

As Forbes recently reported, official Paris plans to send Ukraine about two dozen Dassault Mirage 2000D fighter-bombers.

Emmanuel Macron wants to announce the transfer of his planes in the near future.

It is quite possible that this may happen during his visit to Ukraine.

Forbes also suggests that the French Air Force has about 20 aircraft that are surplus to the country's needs and could be transferred to Ukraine.
