France published list of aid provided to Ukraine since February 2022

France

The French Ministry of Defence has published a list of military aid provided to Ukraine since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion.

How many weapons did France transfer to Ukraine?

From Feb.24, 2022, to Dec. 31, 2023, France provided Ukraine with military equipment and materials adapted to the conditions in which the Armed Forces of Ukraine operate for a total amount of €2.615 billion.

It is noted that all military supplies to Ukraine meet three criteria:

  • provision of complete cycle (equipment with ammunition, training and maintenance of equipment);

  • help without weakening the French army;

  • "escalation" control.

The list of equipment that France transferred to Ukraine includes small arms, personal protective equipment, air defense systems, artillery, armored vehicles, sea boats, trucks, drones, aviation fuel, etc.

In some cases, the number of transferred units is classified. This applies in particular to the Crotale, Aster and SCALP missiles.

In two years, Ukraine received from France:

  • 250 VAB armoured vehicles in various modifications;

  • 38 AMX10 armoured vehicles;

  • over 1M small arms for rifles;

  • 160 drones;

  • Ten drone detection systems;

  • Two Crotale NG SAM systems;

  • Six Mistral short-range air defence systems;

  • One Samp/T air defence system

  • Four LRU MLRS;

  • Six TRF1 self-propelled howitzers;

  • 30 Caesar self-propelled artillery systems;Ten0 heavy 120 mm mortars.

In addition, nearly 10,000 Ukrainian defenders were trained on the territory of France and Poland with the support of Paris.

France ordered a hundred Delair drones for Ukraine

Ukraine will receive Delair kamikaze drones from France in the summer of 2024. The Minister of Defence of France, Sebastien Lecornu, informed about this.

In general, for the needs of Ukraine and France, the defense industry plans to order 2,000 kamikaze drones, but he did not specify which models of UAVs will be handed over to Ukraine. In the photos published by him, there is also a Delair DT46 with a wingspan of 4.5 meters and a communication range of more than 50 km.

In Sep. 2023, the head of the French Ministry of Defense announced transferring a batch of 150 Delair drones to Ukraine.
