According to the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) materials, an agent of the Russian FSB who spied on the location of combat aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region received 15 years in prison.

15 years of imprisonment for an FSB agent

Thanks to the evidence base of the Security Service of Ukraine, another FSB agent who operated in the Dnipropetrovsk region received an actual accurate prison term.

The SSU reported this on Facebook.

The traitor recorded the flight directions of Air Force combat aircraft and tried to establish their classification and the location of airfields.

Also, the person involved hunted for the locations of the logistical routes used to supply weapons and ammunition to the front.

The attacker set up an "observation point" in the window of his apartment on the fourth floor to monitor the movement of military equipment of the Defense Forces.

For each completed task, the Russian special service transferred a monetary "reward" to the bank card of its agent.

The Russian agent was caught red-handed

The SSU counterintelligence officers detained the perpetrator due to a particular regional operation in May 2023.

According to the Ukrainian special service materials, the court sentenced him to 15 years in prison.

The investigation established that the Russian agent turned out to be a 44-year-old resident of the Synelnyky district. In July 2022, the man was recruited remotely by an FSB staff member.

The resident came to the attention of the occupiers because of his anti-Ukrainian posts on pro-Kremlin Telegram channels.

He maintained further communication with the aggressor through an anonymous chat in a popular messenger.

Based on the collected evidence, the court found the intruder guilty under Chapter 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law).
