The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) chief, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, spoke about the current situation of the aggressor state and the immediate priorities in the Russo-Ukrainian war, one of which remains the active combat operations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Crimea.
Budanov: Attacks on the occupiers in Crimea will continue
The DIU chief emphasised the need to continue to put pressure on Russia, particularly in Crimea — to attack from the air, use naval strike drones and conduct secret special operations.
Kyrylo Budanov reported this in a comment for the Financial Times.
The DIU chief explained that one of the priorities of the relevant missions is the destruction of the logistics of the Russian occupying army on the temporarily occupied peninsula.
Budanov: Russians failed on the Eastern Front
According to the DIU head, attempts by the Russians to advance on the eastern front, which have been ongoing since the fall of 2023, have not yet yielded any breakthrough.
He also reported that the number of Russian casualties on the front near Avdiivka has increased significantly in the last few weeks.
Kyrylo Budanov expressed doubts about the ability of terrorist Moscow to cover the losses of its troops and missiles equivalently, even with the support of North Korea.
