General mobilisation in Ukraine: what is known about the new mobilisation rules

AFU

The Ground Forces representative, Volodymyr Fityo, officially confirmed that the new mobilisation rules do not allow sending citizens to the front after receiving the first summons.

What is essential to know about the new rules of mobilisation in 2024

According to Volodymyr Fityo, the first subpoena is issued exclusively to clarify the registration data of a Ukrainian citizen of the conscription age.

First, it is about his family status, possible reasons for the delay and passing a medical board to determine his health.

If your health is in order, the profession is necessary, and there are no reasons for deferment from military service, the Territorial Recruiting Center (TRC) issues another summons. You are already going to the training center after her. There you undergo training — at least a month, and another two weeks to coordinate the unit, the representative of the Ground Forces explains .

Volodymyr Fityo draws attention to the fact that in the case of more complex combat professions, acquiring skills can last from two to three months.

In addition, it is also possible to study outside of Ukraine.

After completing all these processes, the citizens of Ukraine get to their military unit, where they begin to perform the relevant tasks.

Therefore, I will emphasize once again: no one is sent to war after the first summons, Volodymyr Fityo concluded.

How Zaluzhnyi commented on the draft law on mobilisation to Verkhovna Rada

On December 26, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially confirmed that neither he nor representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine submitted any documents to the Cabinet of Ministers because this is simply impossible.

No submissions of any draft laws of the Armed Forces or the General Staff of the Armed Forces have not been made and cannot be made. Because the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the General Staff are deprived of such a function as a legislative initiative. The Armed Forces did not submit any documents to the Cabinet of Ministers, Valerii Zaluzhnyi emphasized.

He also added that the military command formed a number of 400,000 to 500,000 mobilised based on current and 2024 needs.
