Over the past day, Ukrainian troops repelled 55 attacks by the Russian army in various parts of the frontline. In addition, the defenders destroyed 780 occupiers, 18 artillery systems and 6 tanks.

It is worth noting that the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to eliminate more than 360,000 Russian occupiers.
And Russian tank losses are about 6,000.

What is known about situation at frontline from December 31 to January 1
During the past 24 hours, 55 combat clashes were recorded.
The Russian army carried out 13 missile and 127 air strikes, as well as 181 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and populated areas.
In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia anti-aircraft missile system in the Kupyansk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 enemy attacks near Synkivka and Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defences of our troops.
In addition, it is emphasised that the Russian occupiers carried out shelling near Makiivka in the Luhansk region, in the Liman direction.
In the Bakhmut sector, AFU managed to repel 10 enemy attacks near Bohdanivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region.
In the area of responsibility of the Tavria anti-tank missile system in the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who keeps trying to surround Avdiivka. Our soldiers are holding strong, inflicting significant losses on the occupiers. Thus, over the past day, the defence forces repelled four enemy attacks in the areas of Stepove and Avdiivka, and another 14 attacks in the area of Pervomaisk and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
According to the General Staff of AFU, in the Maryinka sector, Ukrainian troops continue to hold back the enemy in Novomykhailivka district of the Donetsk region, where four attacks were repelled.
In the Shakhtarsk sector, defence forces repelled an enemy attack near Urozhaine in the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia sector, the AFU managed to repel five enemy attacks near Robotyne and south of Novodarivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the area of responsibility of the Odesa anti-aircraft missile system in the Kherson sector, the Defence Forces continue to expand their foothold. Despite significant losses, the enemy continues to try to force our units out of their positions. Thus, over the past day, the enemy made 13 unsuccessful assaults on the positions of the defence forces.
The General Staff of the AFU notes that as of 31 December, Ukrainian aviation successfully struck 11 locations where Russian army personnel were concentrated.
In addition, it is emphasised that the missile troops hit 9 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, 3 ammunition depots and an enemy control centre.
