The AFU General Staff reports that the situation on the battlefield on January 15 continues to escalate, but Ukrainian soldiers are successfully holding back the Russian invaders.

AFU General Staff report about the situations at the front on January 15

The Russian occupiers launched one missile and made 31 air strikes. The enemy carried out 51 MLRS strikes on the positions of our troops and populated areas.

In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders could repulse two attacks near Synkivka in the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, our defenders repelled 12 enemy attacks near Terny, Yampolivka, Torske of the Donetsk region, and another 18 attacks in the areas of Serebryansk forestry, Bilogorivka of the Luhansk region, and Hryhorivka, and Verkhnyokamyanske of the Donetsk region.

In the direction of Bakhmut, AFU soldiers prevented the enemy from advancing in the districts of Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka of the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 16 enemy attacks in the districts of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka and another 15 attacks in the areas of Sieverne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske of the Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, our defenders repulsed two attacks west of Verbove and Robotyne of the Zaporizhzhia region.

AFU's successes on the battlefield

On January 15, the Ukrainian Air Force struck 22 areas of personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration and one anti-aircraft warfare enemy system.

Missile forces units struck one area of personnel concentration, three artillery systems and two enemy radar stations.
