General Staff Latest: AFU repelled over 40 Russian attacks and carried out 14 airstrikes

During the day, 51 combat clashes took place between the Ukrainian troops and the Russian occupiers. Russia carried out 64 air- and 45 MLRS strikes against the positions of Ukrainian forces and populated areas.

AFU strikes against Russian troops

The General Staff reports that during the day, the Air Force of the Defense Forces struck 14 areas where the enemy's personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated.

Units of the missile forces struck two anti-aircraft warfare systems, four artillery systems and the enemy's EW station.

Operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine

In the Kupiansk direction, the AFU repulsed seven attacks near Synkivka and east of Pischane of the Kharkiv region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defences of our troops.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repulsed four attacks in the areas of Serebryansky forestry in the Luhansk region and Terny in the Donetsk region.

In the direction of Bakhmut, the Defense Forces repelled three attacks near Ivanivske of the Donetsk region, where the occupiers unsuccessfully tried to improve their tactical position.

In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled eight attacks near Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, and another five attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske of the Donetsk region.

In the Mariinka direction, the Defense Forces repelled six Russian attacks in the Georgiivka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka districts of the Donetsk region.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, our defenders repulsed an enemy attack near Zolota Nyva of the Donetsk region.

In the direction of Zaporizhzhia, AFU repelled the attack of the invaders north of Priyutne of the Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the Russians made seven unsuccessful attempts to storm the positions of Ukrainian troops on the left bank of the Dnipro River for 24 hours.
