According to German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius, he is annoyed by constant questions about the possibility of supplying Ukraine with Taurus missiles.
A new conflict in Germany over the Taurus missile supply for Ukraine
According to journalists, the German Defense Ministry chief cynically stated that he is "fed up" with debates about the possibility of such supplies.
He noted that the discussion revolves exclusively around a specific weapons system — "as if it is about whether we supply everything possible, or whether we take some of the freedom and responsibility for making this decision on our own."
As Handelsblatt found out, official London offered to supply Ukraine with more Storm Shadow cruise missiles in exchange for Taurus from Germany.
How Pistorius comments on rumours about Taurus missiles supply to Ukraine
The German MOD chief claims he knows nothing about Britain's proposal to exchange Taurus missiles for the Storm Shadow to Kyiv.
He also added that if there are negotiations with the office, they should determine whether this idea is viable.
According to Pistorius, the German government has not ruled out the possibility of supplying Taurus to Ukraine. Still, there is currently no news on this matter.
