In 6 months, Ukraine exported more than 20 million tons of cargo from Odesa ports to 32 countries of the world through the grain corridor. 14.3 million tons are Ukrainian agricultural products.

The grain corridor in the Black Sea is operating successfully

Ukraine topped the preliminary results of exports through the temporary grain corridor in the Black Sea.

This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov.

For half a year of operation of the Ukrainian corridor from the ports of Great Odesa, 661 vessels exported more than 20 million tons of cargo to 32 countries of the world. 14.3 million tons are products of Ukrainian farmers. Ukraine continues to ensure the world's food security, said Kubrakov.

According to him, the ports of Great Odesa are currently increasing cargo transshipment. So, in January, 6.3 million tons were exported - this indicator is almost equal to the pre-war level.

Kubrakov noted that the ports are waiting for the approach of another 104 ships, which are supposed to take out more than 3 million tons of cargo.

What is known about the grain corridor

In mid-July, Russia withdrew from the "grain agreement", which allowed the export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea. After that, Ukraine decided to resume exports without renewing the participation of the terrorist country. The Russians are trying in every possible way to hinder the operation of the "grain corridor", including attacks on ports and infrastructure.

Already in August, Ukraine opened temporary corridors for civilian merchant vessels. The routes are primarily intended for the departure of ships that have been in Ukrainian ports since the beginning of the war.

As the Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kubrakov, said, as of December 4, 200 ships had already passed through the temporary corridor. They exported more than 7 million tons of cargo from Odessa ports. Now this number is much higher.

Trump continues trade war against Canada

According to the US president, he has ordered his commerce secretary to add an additional 25% tariff on all steel and aluminum coming into the US from Canada.

The American leader made this decision after the province of Ontario imposed a 25% tariff on electricity coming to the United States.

Donald Trump also added that this tariff will take effect on March 12.

I will soon declare a power emergency in the threatened area. This will allow the United States to quickly take whatever action is necessary to mitigate this unlawful threat from Canada.
