Hackers from the Prana Network group managed to break into the mail servers of the Iranian company IRGC Sahara Thunder, which stored an array of data on the production of Shahed-136 attack drones, which Russia is buying.
How much money does Russia spend on Iranian Shaheds?
It is worth noting that the documents do not directly mention the type of product being manufactured.
According to the hackers, the drones are listed in the documents under a unique code as "Dolphin 632 type motor boat".
Prices indicated in the documents:
Twelve million rubles ($193,000) per board for purchasing 6,000 units.
Eighteen million rubles ($290,000) per board for purchasing 2,000 units.
In addition, it is emphasised that the total price of the contract for production, including the transfer of technologies, equipment, 6,000 sets of UAVs, and software, is 108.5 billion rubles ($1.75 billion).
What is the cost of one Iranian "Shahed"
The hackers managed to find out that, according to the plans for last year, the cost of one "shaheed" reaches 4.4 million rubles ($48.8 thousand), and the realisation, that is, the actual purchase price — 14.9 million rubles ($165.5 thousand).
Embedded payments for licensed production likely explain the gap, additional costs and investments in the enterprise.
What is essential to understand is that this information once again refutes the fakes that Iranian "Shaheds" are cheap weapons.
It is also worth recalling that half a year ago, the American publication The Washington Post received internal documents about the operation of the Iranian drone production plant in the Alabuga special economic zone in Russian Tatarstan, which is scheduled to produce 6,000 "Shahed" kamikaze drones by 2025.
