The H&M clothing chain has resumed operations in Ukraine. This week, two more stores will be opened in the capital's shopping malls.
In which malls will H&M stores open
On November 16, H&M will open in River Mall and Retroville. This was announced on the official pages of the shopping center in social networks.
It is also reported that the rest of the capital's H&M stores, which are located in SkyMall and Dream Town, will resume operations in the coming weeks.
What is known about the work of H&M in Ukraine
As a reminder, H&M Group closed its stores in Ukraine from February 24, 2022, with the beginning of a Russia’s full-scale invasion.
In the summer of 2023, the H&M company announced that it plans to gradually reopen most of its stores in Ukraine from November of this year.
Swedish company Hennes&Mauritz AB (H&M), owner of Europe's second largest clothing chain, opened its first store in Ukraine in 2018. At the beginning of the Russia’s full-scale invasion, H&M had eight outlets in Ukraine: five in Kyiv, one in Odesa, Kharkiv and Lviv.
On 9 November, H&M opened its stores in Respublika and Lavina Mall.
The return of international companies strengthens Ukraine's economy, as it means paying taxes to the state budget, new jobs, renting premises, increasing demand for labour and intellectual resources, services, etc.
