US President Joe Biden has never said that the US wanted Ukraine to win because there is a certain "indecision" and "concern" that Russia might strengthen.

Why did Biden never say that the US wants Ukraine to win

In an interview for the Voice of America, this opinion was expressed by the ex-commander of the US Army in Europe, a retired US general and head of the Pershing Chair in Strategic Studies at the Center for European Policy Analysis, Ben Hodges.

I said yes because I have never heard the US President or Congress said that we want Ukraine to win. They say — we are with you as much as it takes. What does it mean? I think there is indecision. It is very difficult for me to understand why they stopped. I believe that there is a certain concern that Russia can somehow strengthen, although they have not done so in two years, he noted.

According to him, not all politicians and high-ranking officials in the US believe that Russia can lose.

There is some uncertainty about what will happen if Ukraine wins and Putin's regime falls. What will we do? Unfortunately, there are some people here in Washington, Berlin and other capitals who cannot even imagine that Russia could lose. I mean, they will have to abandon decades of their beliefs about Russia who and what Russia is, he explained.

The US is looking for tools to weaken Russia

According to Geoffrey Pyatt, the official Washington is currently trying to understand what needs to be done to make the shadow fleet of the Russian Federation lose its effectiveness.

As mentioned earlier, the aggressor country uses it to circumvent sanctions and sell its oil to buyers, mainly in India and China, at prices that exceed the upper limit set by the G7 countries.

The representative of the US State Department drew attention to the fact that hindering Russia's future revenues is as essential as harming its current finances.
