Sunak predicts Putin's rule is to end soon

Office of the President of Ukraine
Rishi Sunak

According to British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, the Kremlin dictator and war criminal Vladimir Putin is very much mistaken if he hopes to survive the war against Ukraine and remain in power.

Putin can't wait to cut aid to Ukraine and stay in power

During his visit to Kyiv and meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Sunak stressed that he was sending the Kremlin dictator a signal that Ukraine needs to maintain strong military support from its Western partners.

Ukraine will never be on its own. Putin may think that he can keep us here longer, but he is wrong. We will be with you today, tomorrow and as long as it takes," Sunak said.

According to him, the war unleashed by the Kremlin concerns Ukraine's sovereign right to self-defence and to determine its own future.

Sunak noted that Ukraine's European choice is historic.

Your quest for freedom has inspired and driven the British people. And for the free nations of our world, helping Ukraine is also an investment in our own collective security. Because if Putin wins in Ukraine, he will not stop there. And our opponents around the world believe that we have neither the patience nor the resources for prolonged wars. So by backing down now, we would not only embolden Putin, but also his allies in North Korea, Iran and elsewhere. That is why the United Kingdom and the free world will continue to stand by Ukraine, as we have since the beginning of this war," the British Prime Minister stressed.

What we know about the new largest package of military aid to Ukraine from the UK

According to him, the UK was the first Western partner country to train the Ukrainian military, and the first among European countries to provide Ukraine with lethal weapons, Western battle tanks and long-range precision missiles.

Sunak stressed that the largest military package for Ukraine, worth £2.5 billion, will include air defence systems, anti-tank weapons, long-range missiles, thousands of ammunition and artillery shells.
