According to the head of state, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, not only Ukrainians but also the entire international community need to come to terms with the idea that the war will not end as quickly as we would like.

Zelenskyy made a new statement about the duration of the war

TheUkraine's President met with Fox Corporation CEO Lachlan Murdoch and Fox News journalists Benjamin Hall and The Sun Jerome Starkey.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy told them about the situation on the battlefield, as well as about the challenges our Armed Forces are facing.

The Ukrainian leader complained that the Russian-Ukrainian war in the world, for reasons incomprehensible to him, "is treated like a movie, and they expect that there will be no long pauses in the events."

As the head of state notes, people worldwide count on "the picture before their eyes will always change; there will be some surprises every day."

But for us, for our soldiers, this is not a movie. These are our lives. It's hard work every day. And everything will not end as quickly as we would like, but we do not have the right to give up and we will not do it, Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

According to the Ukrainian leader, keeping the world's attention on our efforts in the fight for freedom and our state is essential.

He noted that the world media plays a crucial role in consolidating international support for Ukraine.

What Budanov says about the possible duration of the war

As the DIU chief Kyrylo Budanov predicts, the Russian-Ukrainian war can last quite a long time because, as is known, official Moscow does not plan to fulfil the demands of Volodymyr Zelenskyi's team regarding the start of peace negotiations.

The head of the GUR also suggested that this war may never end.

This scenario is very likely here as well, because Russia has significant territorial appetites for Ukraine, which concern not only Crimea. Of course, no one is going to satisfy these appetites, Kyrylo Budanov explained his forecast.
