I urge everyone to make a conscious choice. The commander of Azov appealed to Ukrainians

According to the commander of the Azov National Guard Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Denys Prokopenko (Redis), the war in Ukraine will continue for a long time. That is why he called on Ukrainian citizens to make a conscious choice and join the ranks of the soldiers.

Why the war with Russia will not end quickly

The Azov commander asks the Ukrainian people to accept the fact that the Russian Federation will never give up its geopolitical goals and will not let our country out of its sphere of influence.

According to Redis, the war will continue as long as our people have the strength and resources to resist the enemy.

He also warned once again that any "truce" or "arrangements" will be just another time-out for the Russian army, which will use this time for renewal.

Therefore, our ability to mobilise all the necessary resources at a critical moment and work at the limit of superhuman capabilities should not gradually turn into indifference and proactive stability. Unfortunately, many people in Ukraine and beyond still refuse to accept the ruthless reality as it is. Some are trying to convince themselves that everything will end by itself. Others, on the contrary, are petrified of the idea that peace in Ukraine could come in decades.

Denys Prokopenko also asks Ukrainians not to succumb to the informational and psychological manipulations of Russia, which is trying to convince our people that we cannot withstand a long-term war.

The best antidote to despair, panic or apathy caused by thinking about the timeframe of this war is to actively participate in the historical processes that are taking place here and now.

The only chance to win is to join the Defense Forces

As the commander of Azov notes, neither he nor his fighters know when the war will end.

Nevertheless, they are not going to back down, even if it takes decades.

Those who are not yet involved in the Armed Forces of Ukraine have to make a conscious choice: take up arms and join the military, or become a reliable rear guard for the army working to maintain the country's defence capability.

Redis once again repeated that this war can last for years, but only Ukrainians can speed it up.
