According to the spokesman of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Colonel Yuriy Ihnat, the destruction of one Russian A-50 aircraft by Ukraine cannot fundamentally change the balance of forces on the battlefield. Despite this, Ukrainian soldiers still forced the Russian aviation to reduce its activity.

What can be affected by Ukraine's destruction of the Russian A-50 aircraft

The speaker of the PS draws attention to the fact that the A-50 is a long-range radar detection aircraft that scans the territory of our state (detects air targets) — up to 600 km deep.

In addition, it is he who must ensure the operation of his own tactical aviation.

What is important to understand is that in most cases it works in conjunction with the Il-22M air command post. It is they who enable the enemy to coordinate the actions of his troops and forces.

According to Yuriy Ihnat, the aggressor country has a considerable "aircraft fleet" with many air weapons, but each successful operation of Ukraine forces the enemy to partially change its tactics.

For example, the Air Force managed to "catch" five aircraft in the north and three Russian fighters terrorising with guided aerial bombs near the front line in the southern direction. After that, the enemy is wary of flying closer to the contact line.

The Armed Forces successfully destroy Russian aviation

According to Yuriy Ihnat, Ukraine has the ability and strength to launch effective strikes against the enemy, so Russia will definitely behave more cautiously on the battlefield.

It is no secret that the destruction of the A-50 is a serious blow to the aviation of Russia, and most importantly, to the image of Russian regime.

The loss of such a plane as the A-50 probably took place for the first time in history. At the same time, Russia still has several units of long-range radar detection aircraft in working condition, the dictator is not going to stop, so the enemy will probably continue to implement his criminal intentions of conducting military operations."
