A minibus carrying 9 Ukrainian citizens was involved in an accident on the Polish-Ukrainian border. As a result of the accident, one person died and others were injured.

According to the press service of the district commandant's office in Tomaszow Lubelski, a minibus with 9 passengers, all citizens of Ukraine, collided with a truck that was queuing for border control.

As a result, one citizen died, the rest sustained injuries of varying severity. They are currently receiving medical assistance.

Polish rescuers also reported that the accident occurred on the morning of 21 December at 05:29 local time on the 17th road.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nikolenko said that one citizen was killed and the remaining eight sustained injuries of varying severity. They were taken to hospital.

Ukrainian consuls are cooperating with Polish law enforcement officers to clarify all the circumstances of the accident, and measures are being taken to repatriate the body of the deceased. The issue of transporting passengers to Ukraine by other means of transport is also being resolved, the representative of the agency added.
