In the center of Moscow, the weekly protest action of wives of Russian mobilized "Ways Home" began. On it, women demand that the authorities return the occupiers home from Russia's war against Ukraine.

In Moscow, women of the Russian military staged a protest

According to Russian publications, the Russian Movement of Wives of Mobilized Women, the Anti-Corruption Fund and politician Maksym Kats called for participation in the action, but the majority of the crowd was made up of journalists.

It is noted that the police detained almost all male journalists, in particular from the Russian media Ostorozhno Novosti, Sota.Vision, Kommersant, as well as the French France Press and the German Spiegel.

In addition, the security forces detained human rights defenders from the "a human rights" movement, Sota reports.

27 people were detained near the Kremlin building, most of them journalists. All the detainees were taken to the Kitay-horod police department.

Wives of the mobilized also wrote an "order" requesting the demobilization of their husbands.

The Moscow prosecutor's office warned Russians of their responsibility for participating in the protests, noting that they were not coordinated with local authorities.

The department's Telegram channel reports that social networks have posted information calling for participation in a public action in the center of the capital.

Wives of Russian soldiers are increasingly protesting

On November 7, Russian military wives held the first public street protest in Moscow after the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation.

British intelligence previously reported that the long stay of Russian soldiers at the front without the possibility of rotation is perceived by them and their relatives as unacceptable.

The intelligence officers note that since February 2022, examples of online appeals by Russian wives and mothers protesting against the conditions of service of their relatives appear every day in social networks.

In another report, British intelligence also noted that the Russian authorities are trying to suppress public protests by the wives of Russian soldiers, in particular by discrediting them on the Internet.
