Explosions were heard in the Kursk region of Russia. Drones attacked the Dmitrivsky and Zaliznohirsky districts, damaging houses and power lines.

"Cotton" again in the Kursk region

The governor of the Kursk region of Russia, Roman Starovoit, said that the Dmitrivsky and Zaliznohirsky districts were allegedly attacked by drones.

According to Starovoit, three planes flew into the village of Krupets, Dmytrivsky district. According to preliminary information, fences, windows and roofs of 8 houses were damaged.

There was also a shelling near the railway station in the town of Dmitriyeve, which damaged a compressor station.

In the Zaliznychnyi district, drones damaged a power line supplying one of the facilities of the Mikhailovsky Mining and Processing Plant. Emergency crews were dispatched to repair the damage.

Explosions in Russia

The number of explosions in Russia has increased in recent weeks. For example, on 15 December, several explosions took place in the Russian city of Kursk. Local authorities announced the activation of the air defence system due to the detection of drones in the sky over the city.

Russia has also recently announced that a drone was attacked and destroyed near Moscow. The drone attack on Russia was a special operation of the Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate. The drone targets were located in the Moscow and Kaluga regions.

On 14 December, the Ministry of Defence of Russia reported an alleged attack by Ukrainian drones on Moscow and Kaluga regions. Enemy air defence systems allegedly shot down nine drones over the territories of the Kaluga and Moscow regions.

On 5 December, more than 40 Ukrainian drones were allegedly intercepted and destroyed over Russian territory.

Between 30 November and 1 December, several trains carrying fuel exploded on the Baikal-Amur railway in Russia as a result of a special operation by the Security Service of Ukraine.

On the night of 26 November, Russian authorities claimed an attempted massive drone attack. They claim that air defence forces allegedly shot down 21 drones.
