The Ukrainian military is holding positions on the left bank of the Kherson region and is trying to advance south from Krynky.

Analysts assessed the situation at the front

The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian troops continue offensive operations in the Melitopol direction. The Russian "military" said that bad weather conditions continued to hinder the movement of vehicles and artillery operations, but the drones continued to operate.

Russian forces continued limited ground attacks in western Zaporizhzhia Oblast on November 30 but made no confirmed offensives. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian troops repelled at least 14 attacks by Russians near Robotyne and northwest and west of Verbove.

Colonel Oleksandr Shtupun, the OSTG “Tavria” spokesman, said that the Russian troops "became somewhat more active" in the Zaporizhzhia direction and are trying to recapture lost positions.

On November 30, Ukrainian troops continued ground attacks on the left (eastern) bank of the Kherson region. The General Staff of the Armed Forces reported that Ukrainian troops hold positions on the Dnipro's eastern bank.

Several Russian sources claimed that fighting was ongoing near Krynyk. The Russian "military officer" said that Ukrainian troops were trying to advance south of the city.

The British Ministry of Defense reported on November 30 that elements of the newly formed Russian 104th Guards Airborne Division are likely to be deployed in the Kherson region, which is consistent with previous ISW observations.

The situation on the left bank of the Kherson region

On November 17, the Ukrainian military announced that they had conducted a series of successful operations on the left bank of the Dnipro in the Kherson region. The Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to gain several footholds.

The General Staff explained that the AFU wanted to push the Russian occupiers away from the right bank of the Dnipro. This will reduce the shelling of civilians.

Ukrainian forces continued operations on the eastern (left) bank of the Kherson region and, as reported, advanced on November 21.

Estonian intelligence considers it unlikely that the Russian army will have enough strength and resources to dislodge the Ukrainian soldiers, who have finally managed to gain a foothold on the left bank of the river, beyond the Dnipro.
