Iraq and Syria attacked U.S. forces four times within hours.

On November 23, American troops were attacked with missiles and drones. According to an unnamed military representative, there were no casualties among the personnel and no damage to the infrastructure.

In Iraq, drones were launched at the Ain al-Asad air base west of Baghdad and a U.S. base near Erbil airport in the north.

Earlier in the day, a group calling itself the Islamic Resistance announced attacks on these places. Analysts suggest that several Iraqi armed groups linked to Iran are combined in it.

The media emphasized that the attacks took place the day after the U.S. strike against the Kataib Hezbollah militia. Its representatives stated that eight soldiers were killed as a result of the attack by American troops. Iraq condemned the actions as an escalation and a violation of sovereignty.

U.S. officials responded that the U.S. had struck Iranian groups after their attacks on U.S. and international forces escalated. According to the unnamed official, since October 17, there have been 36 attacks in Iraq and 37 in Syria.
