The publication Axios, citing its sources, reports that official Tel Aviv, through Qatari and Egyptian mediators, made an offer to Hamas, which includes a pause in hostilities. According to preliminary data, it is at least 2 months.

Israel and Hamas may agree on a pause in hostilities

Journalists noted that Tel Aviv's proposal does not refer to ending the war. Still, it does propose the most extended period of ceasefire on the part of Israel since the beginning of hostilities.

According to the latest reports, more than 130 hostages are still being held in Gaza. The Israeli authorities continue to look for ways to release them from the captivity of terrorists.

Israel's military cabinet approved 10 days ago the terms of a new offer to release the hostages that differ from earlier aspects of the deal rejected by Hamas and are more progressive than previous Israeli proposals.

As of today, official Tel Aviv is waiting for a response from Hamas and maintains "reserved optimism."

What exactly is Israel offering to Hamas?

As the journalists managed to find out, the agreement provides for the release of all living hostages and the return of the bodies of the dead hostages in several stages.

The first phase will be a release of women and men over 60, and hostages in critical condition. Subsequent phases will include the release of female military personnel, non-military men under the age of 60, male Israeli military personnel, and the return of the bodies of dead hostages.

According to the publication's anonymous sources, the total pause period proposed by Israel to complete the release of all hostages at various stages could be up to two months.
