The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct positional battles in the east of Ukraine in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions and deliver powerful blows to the positions of the criminal army of Russia.
What is known about the situation in eastern Ukraine
According to analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), positional battles continue in the area of Synkivka and Lake Lyman to the northwest of Kupyansk on the border of Kharkiv and Luhansk regions.
Analysts also note the conduct of positional battles to the east of Kupyansk in the Petropavlivka area.
In the Luhansk region — northwest of Kreminnaya in the Makiivka district, west of Kreminna in the Terny, Torsk and Yampolivka districts.
To the southwest of Kreminna in the area of Dibrova and Serebryansk forestry.
South of Kreminna in the area of Bilohorivka and Hryhorivka.
In Donetsk region :
to the east and southeast of Siversk, near Verkhnyokamyanske and Vesele;
to the northeast of Bakhmut in the area of Bohdanivka;
west of Bakhmut in the Ivanovo and Khromovo areas;
and to the southwest of Bakhmut in the area of Klishchiivka and Andriivka;
to the northwest of Avdiivka in the Novobakhmutivka area, Stepne;
to the south-west of Avdiivka in the area of Pivnichne, Pershotravneve and Nevelske;
to the west and northwest of Donetsk in the area of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka and Pobyeda;
southwest of Donetsk in the Novomykhailivka district.
Analysts note that the Ukrainian military delivered a powerful blow to the positions of the airborne troops of the criminal army of Russia in the Bakhmut area.
A large-scale fire broke out at the positions of the Russian occupiers as a result of the strikes of the Armed Forces.
According to the occupiers themselves, as a result of the powerful attack, the position was actually destroyed, including ammunition, automobile equipment and personal documents of the Russian invaders.
Analysts refer to geolocation data as of January 15, according to which the Armed Forces of Russia are striking vehicles of the criminal army of Russia transporting ammunition across the bridge on the Avdiivka-Donetsk highway northwest of Pisky.
As a result of the impact, the ammunition in the Russian car detonated, collapsing one side of the bridge.
At the same time, analysts point to a slight advance of the Russian occupying forces to the west of Donetsk.
In particular, the Russian occupiers managed to advance a little on the outskirts of Heorhiivka.
What is known about the situation in the south of Ukraine
ISW analysts note that the Russian occupiers carried out attacks near the administrative border of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions west of Staromayorske, near Chervone and in the direction of Prechistivka.
During January 15, despite difficult weather conditions, positional battles continued in the west of the Zaporizhzhia region, in particular, near Robotyne and west of Verbove.
The ISW declares the recent advance of the Russian occupiers in the Krynkiv area on the left bank of the Dnipro in the Kherson region.
According to geolocation data as of January 15, Russian war criminals advanced north to the coastline in western Krynky.
Ukrainian army maintain their positions on the eastern bank of the Kherson region and conduct limited positional battles in the Krynky area.
Russian sources claimed that the frosty weather conditions prevented the movement of Ukrainian boats and the landing of amphibious assaults on the eastern bank, because the Dnipro and Konka rivers and canals were frozen.
