The chief of German diplomacy, Annalena Baerbok, dispelled the hopes of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin for a decrease in Ukraine's support from the European Union.

Berlin promises increased support for Ukraine

According to the German diplomat, the head of the Kremlin rejoiced early, counting on the fact that the Ukrainian people were left alone with their main enemy, Russia.

Putin rejoices too soon, considering the dramatic situation around the world. Because we will not only continue our support to Ukraine, we will continue to expand and increase it, Annalena Baerbok stressed.

In addition, the German Foreign Ministry officially announced a significant increase in support for Ukraine.

Our support will be significantly expanded, especially in the coming year, she promised.

However, so far Annalena Burbok did not want to reveal any details about these intentions.

She commented on plans for the coming weeks and months and mentioned the so-called winter defense shield, which includes supplying Ukraine with another Patriot air defense system and power generators.

Journalists talked about Germany's new plan for Ukraine

According to the German media Bild, the budget of Germany for the next year plans to include an additional 4 billion euros for military aid for our country.

Soon, the Budget Committee of the Bundestag will officially make a decision on additional aid for Kyiv.

It is worth noting that the chief of the German Ministry of Finance, Christian Lindner, initially provided only four 4 billion euros for military aid to Kyiv in the federal budget 2024.

However, almost all of this money was earmarked for the already promised support projects, while only 120 million euros remained for the new aid from the Ministry of Defense of Germany, the journalists explain.
