The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, boasted of an attack on a communications tower in the Belgorod region of Russia. Allegedly, in this way, his militants were able to deprive the Ukrainian Armed Forces of communication.

Kadyrov said that his militans "deprived the enemy of communication by accurately hitting a relay tower in the Belgorod region".

According to Kadyrov, after that, the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly lost contact and even the ability to call for reinforcements, and Akhmat militants allegedly managed to seize the initiative on the opposite side.

It should be noted that Ukrainian troops are fighting exclusively on the territory of Ukraine, liberating its territory from the Russian occupiers.

What is the situation in the Belgorod region

Recently, the regions of Russia bordering Ukraine have been under constant shelling. At the same time, the military leadership of the occupiers, when shelling their territory, blames the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

For example, in May 2022, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said that the village of Solokha was allegedly shelled by the Ukrainian military. The shelling killed at least one person and injured six others.

And in October 2023, in the Russian city of Belgorod, residents heard explosions and a fire broke out. Two people died. Then the governor of the Belgorod region said that Belgorod was attacked by a drone, which was allegedly Ukrainian.

Also on 18 November, a military hospital of the Russian army in Valuyki, the Belgorod region, caught fire. Residents of Belgorod claim that everything in the hospital burned down. The cause of the fire has not been announced by the Russian authorities.
