The Ukrainian mobile operator "Kyivstar" has resumed the international voice roaming service. It was also possible to stabilize communication in Kyiv.

Over the past day, the company's specialists restored the international voice roaming service, eliminated the problem with call interruptions and stabilized the mobile connection in Kyiv.

More than 95% of mobile communication base stations in the territory controlled by Ukraine are in working order.

Voice communication, including international roaming and "Home Internet" services, is available to subscribers.

The restoration of access to mobile data transmission services began yesterday, particularly in the west of Ukraine. Today, the company plans to restore data transmission services further.

Technical work is being carried out gradually, in compliance with all safety requirements, the "Kyivstar" press service reported.

It was also emphasized that the company will inform about the 100% operability of services after completing all stabilization measures.

What is known about the cyber attack on Kyivstar

On the morning of December 12, Kyivstar users lost their mobile connection. The company later reported a powerful cyber attack.

Russian hackers from the "Solntsepek" group, a Russian military intelligence hacking unit, took responsibility for the cyber attack on the operator.

The Security Service of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings under eight articles, including treason and sabotage.

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine said that the Russian cyber attack was directed against civilians and had no impact on the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
