Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silinia compared Russia's behavior to an unpredictable neighbor who has an alcohol or drug addiction.

Latvia openly mocked Russia

The Russian Federation is like an alcoholic or a drug addict whose behaviour can never be predicted, and neighbouring countries should be aware of this.

This was stated by the Prime Minister of Latvia, Evika Silinia, LSM reports.

We live next to a neighbour who, you could say, is like an alcoholic or a person with an addiction whose actions we cannot predict.

According to her, Latvia plans to strengthen its borders with the Russian Federation and Belarus.

We are strengthening ourselves so that our defensive capabilities are unified throughout the Baltics. And these visual changes are actually already visible and will be visible even more during this year

The Prime Minister also called on the National Armed Forces to inform the regional and national press about the work to be carried out on the country's eastern border "because not everyone reads social networks or press releases."

Putin speaks every year before supposed 'elections' and he tries to frighten the surrounding countries

She emphasised that mandatory military service has been restored in Latvia, defence funding has been significantly increased, and therefore, "we have no reason to blame ourselves for not doing enough" to strengthen our security and defence.

Latvia will help Ukraine

Latvia has decided to join the Czech initiative to purchase artillery ammunition for Ukraine.

The Minister of Defense of Latvian MOD chief, Andris Spruds, announced this.

Latvia will join the Czech initiative, previously proposed by President Petr Pavel, to purchase artillery ammunition for Ukraine.

This is the most critical opportunity to defeat Russia, and we must do everything possible to support Ukraine.
