The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, officially confirmed that on January 2, the Russian invaders launched 99 missiles of various types at Ukraine, of which they were able to destroy 72.
According to the General, 10 out of 10 Kh-47M2 "Kinzhal" aeroballistic missiles, 59 out of 70 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles and 3 out of 3 "Kalibr" cruise missiles were shot down.
Also, the Russian Federation attacked our country with 35 drones — air defense forces eliminated absolutely all enemy targets.
As a result of a massive rocket attack in Kyiv and the region, four people died, and 49 people were injured. At 4:30 p.m. in the capital, two people were killed, and two victims were also reported in the region.
In Kharkiv, one person died and 45 were injured.
